GCR Company was established in 1992 by Glenn C. Ratliff, Jr. Ratliff attended the University of Virginia and graduated with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. He then returned to the Halifax County community and began constructing, selling, and servicing computer systems.
GCR Company provides computer, networking, and Internet access services for the area's leading businesses and industries. For example, we currently maintain the computers for the local 911 systems, both for Halifax County and the Town of South Boston. One of our largest projects thus far resides at Halifax Regional Hospital, where we support and maintain all networking and computer operations.
We have a number of employees providing a combination of computer proficiency, network engineering, technical support, Internet services, financial planning and customer relations. Paul Glass, systems engineer, has been employed with GCR Company since 1996. Paul obtained a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia. He works closely with Glenn and handles most of the computer assemblies. Brandy Anderson, administrative assistant, joined the company in January 1997. She handles product returns and customer service matters. Joining the GCR Company team in 1997, Dave Shelton answers miscellaneous technical inquiries from PC customers and assists Glenn and Paul.
